Recently I’ve received so many lovely presents from my family, friends and colleagues because of my birthday, most of which are my favourite trinkets as I like collecting these small stuff in my house.

So now, part of these gifts had to be placed just on the floor or took up some of my cabinet space. I had no idea about how to handle them. A bit upset about it.

Today we are going to review a Baffect hanging shelf. This is where I got some storage ideas on how to solve my upsets about searching for space and ways to organize my birthday presents and other trinkets in my house and what’s more, there was a taste of aesthetic and warmth around the house beyond what I had expected. I’m gonna show you how I cleverly and creatively stored my stuff and decorated my house with these functional Baffect kits. So first off, let’s have a detailed look at what the hanging shelves are like. 

— Details —

This product is called Baffect Wall Hanging Shelves. These shelves are floating shelves. It comes with a set of two shelves in one package, including two wooden trays, four hanging ropes and two metal hoops in total.

Each floating board has four holes drilled in all corners, which are used for stringing ropes. It is made of solid planks of crude wood and there are clear and natural textures on it. It measures 17.7 x 5.5 x 0.6in.

There is no need for you to drill any holes on the wall or other space. The adjustable jute ropes are used to support the tray and the hoop is used to attach the ropes. Just hang the shelf from a nail, screw or hook, none of which is included in this kit. The length of a single rope is about 38in and you can adjust it to the height you want. 

Some people may hang these floating shelves to store some small plant pots on the wall, but you could realistically put other small household items, especially knick-knack type things on them and hang the shelves on the window or terrace, wherever you want.

— Versatile Storage Ideas —

It is very common that our house is full of many everyday small objects and all kinds of odds and ends. These tiny stuff would be daily necessities, such as spices and canned foods in the kitchen, perfumes and cosmetics in the bedroom, etc, or holiday gifts from friends and family, Christmas particularly, such as dolls, potted plants, etc, or souvenir during trips, such as arts, crafts, etc. Cluttering them on shelves, countertop or at some unobtrusive corners, even in the storeroom, it’s not just the matter of taking up space in the house and wasting time looking for the thing you need, but sometimes the messy surroundings irritate you easily, even if those are memorable and lovable.

Fortunately, I met the Baffect brand, which devotes to offer a great number of diverse home storage solutions and decor ideas and most importantly, provides various exquisite and practical products as well as satisfying service.
So here I got this Baffect Wooden Wall Shelf and started to organize some of my birthday presents and other trinkets at home. We have to assemble the pieces when they arrive and there are no assembly instructions enclosed, but they are very straight forward and it only took me about fifteen minutes to do both and I didn’t need any tools.

Surprisingly, these Baffect Floating Storage Shelves can be arranged in two ways. Firstly, I made the two ropes in the shape of geometric triangle with the help of the ring. 

To be more specific, I put two ropes through the metal hoop in the first step.  

Then I passed the end of the ropes through the holes in the board and tied the knots. 

In the final step, I stuck the hooks on the wall to attach the ring and the shelf could stay planted on the wall. Then it was ready to store my small objects.

This triangle usage way appears lively and artistic, and is recommended to used in the study room, bedroom, living room, or dining room to store some adorable dolls, cosmetics and other small ornaments, as well as photo frames, books, candles and lanterns.

It also seems rustic and I used them to store potted plants in the terrace. I cleverly suspended my small plants on the shelves to keep them out of reach from my two-year-old daughter as the hanging rope was adjustable. Practical and smart idea. It could be suitable to use in the office and shops.

By the way, the Baffect Rustic Floating Shelves can not only be hung on the wall or window indoor, but also the outdoor space is preferred to be used. I suspended one shelf next to my door to store a photo frame as a warm welcome.

The second usage way is similar to the first one, without the use of the hoop. Keep the two ropes parallel and hang them directly from nails or hooks, like the swing. 

This usage way has more opening space so I hung it in the kitchen to store spices and dinnerware, as well as in the bedroom to store a loudspeaker, all of which would need more space for placement, I think. In order to match the style of my cool equipment in the bedroom, I changed the original ropes into those vintage ones, which really fits in this set.   

The wooden board is lightweight so it is ideal to put about three stuff on the board. You may choose any way you like wherever you want those trinkets organized. 

— Stylish and Reimagined Home Decor —

More than functioning as a hanging storage shelf, this Baffect Wooden Wall Decor Shelf with String Rope was found to add a decorative touch to any room and all around the house. For me, they create warm and comfortable atmosphere.

I’ve got some ideas on the menu of the big meal and we’ll make the food, such as the traditional Turkey, pumpkin pie, bread, etc, by ourselves at home. Not only that, we’ve got some knick-knack for decor ready. 

Instead of placing the potted plants by the window side and the little dolls or candles on the countertop in the living room, the Baffect Hanging Floating Shelf turns these small objects onto the plain wall and furthermore, with some soft lighting, it brightens up the day and heats up the cold winter.  

Not just food in the dining hall. A good mood contributes to the appetites. We cleverly hung the floating shelves from the lamps on the wall, displaying arts, flowers and green plants, which encourages relaxation and cultivate a comfortable space for a nice meal.

Every arrangement of the Baffect Wall Hanging Shelves in different space would tell its own little story. There would be more creative decorative options at will and reflects warm and happy life stories. I cannot wait to welcome the annual Thanksgiving and make the Turkey!
