Nowadays, shopping is getting easier and more convenient for us, and the attractive advertisements even make a great number of people become crazy and impulsive shoppers. Tidying up an increasing number of items we bought, especially those small ones such as pens, sticky notes, calculators, etc, has already been a must for us. But the storage of the small objects can be distressing.

I, as a little storage expert, am going to share my secret about storing the small objects of my office and my house using the Baffect 3-Drawer Desktop Storage Box. I hope the following review can be a inspiration for everyone and give the small items that seem hard to organize a perfect home.

— Product Details —

This product is called Baffect 3-Drawer Desktop Storage Box. As its name suggests, each desktop organiser comes with 3 drawers in total. The package I received was perfect with outside packaging, which ensured the drawers from being damaged. Best of all, as you can see, the drawers require no assembly except the handles, and are almost ready to be used right away.

This desktop organiser is in mini size. The dimensions of it measure 13.4cm(5.27 inches) in length by 17cm(6.69 inches) in depth by 17cm(6.69 inches) in height. Besides, the height of each drawer is 4cm(1.57 inches).

The mini storage drawers are designed specially for storing small objects but nothing like A5 notebooks or A4 paper. Such a small size might be a little bit unexpected but it's just perfect for me to collect my small accessories and it can be placed almost everywhere, especially those corners, because of its small size.

It is made of polypropylene, which is very durable. The material has been designed to be completely waterproof and easy to clean. 

I know the appearance of a product is also something to care about. But this Baffect Mini Storage Drawer will not upset you for the reason that the frame of it is white and the drawers are transparent black. The color scheme is my favorite since white is my lucky color and it looks cool when it goes with black and can match all kinds of room styles widely.

— Features —

To be honest, I am a pragmatist. To me, my shopping decisions are mainly determined by my actual needs as well as the quality of the commodity. I had been looking for suitable storage for all my small objects for months, and I finally decided to take a chance on this Baffect Desktop Organiser with Clear Storage Drawer. Luckily, it arrived quickly within 2 weeks and was the exact thing for my small items. What appealed to me most was that I can see immediately which drawer the desired elements are in. Also, it gave me the opportunity to organize my objects in a tiny space.

Then, I have to say that the handles worth a closer look. There were three flat pieces of soft silicone in stylish orange when I received the package, which were all ready to be installed to make the handles of each drawer. I am fond of this design as it adds more vivid colour to my drab desktop.

I folded one piece of soft silicone and after trying twice, I found that the protruding side should be folded outwards to ensure it fits in the gap reserved for the handle perfectly.

Then, I inserted the folded part into the hole of the drawer from the inside to the outside. I pulled the silicone through the hole with a little force and it didn’t fall out. In the same way the silicone of the remaining two drawers were installed.

This silicone is of good quality. No matter how hard you fold it, you don’t have to worry about cracking or leaving creases. And once installed, the silicone handle fits perfectly into the drawer and sticks firmly to it. Such a handle design makes it more convenient to pull out the drawers and you will surprisingly feel smooth when you open and close the drawers.

And now, let's open a drawer and see the details inside. Although it is in small size, each drawer is enough for you to store a surprising amount of stuff in them. So it’s a good size for storing small objects like pens, staplers, small notebooks, etc. But again, nothing larger or longer, like a piece of A4 paper for example, to put in.

Have you ever experienced that your hands were scratched by the sharp edges of the drawers? But don’t worry! This desktop organiser will never happen that way at all. I found that the edge of the drawers has been polished so you don't have to worry about scratching your hands in daily use, and it can also be used by children safely.

Furthermore, there's a handy little tray molded into the top of the organiser, which is useful for placing things on. I think that is a nice and thoughtful feature. When I am working I tend to put things on top of it so that they are in easy reach.

Another good news is that it can be stacked. You can stack 2 storage boxes on top of each other so you can easily get more storage spaces in a really small room. This creates even more vertical storage space to keep a large number of items organised in one place. Also, thanks to its stability and firmness, it is not easy to fall when you stack them, as you can see.

— A Considerate Feature —

What annoys me sometimes is that when I am in a hurry for work, I pull out the drawers so hard that the things inside fall to the ground. Sad to tell you guys, the last time I went through something like this, I broke my foundation. I felt so sad that I determined to find a desktop organiser that can keep the drawers from falling out.

Fortunately, with this Baffect 3-Drawer Desktop Storage Box, I don’t have to worry about this any more. Owing to the stoppers at the bottom of the drawers, the drawers can not come all the way out. Therefore, it is able to prevent small objects from falling to the ground when I pull out the drawer completely. It is such a perfect design for me!

— Why We Need Proper Organization of Small Objects —

I believe that everyone may have experienced that the item you are looking for is right in front of you, but you just ignored it. This is mainly because your way of storage is not systematic. More importantly, once the small items are not properly stored, they are easy to disappear with no exaggeration. So, proper organization of small objects saves us a lot of time finding stuff we want, thus improves the efficiency no matter when we are doing housework or working.

Besides, proper organization is good for making full use of our limited space, as well as keeping the environment neat and tidy. This is especially true for the storage of small objects, and small storage boxes can help us organize what we need in a very small space to the greatest extent.

Furthermore, we tend to stock up on non-essential items, especially small items, because we feel they might come in handy one day. Due to their small size, we have a misconception that hoarding small items doesn't lead to clutter and take up too much space. As a result, the items we own may hardly meet our needs but we actually have no room for new objects, which might be somewhat bothersome.

The Baffect Fidget Organizer Drawers for Office Home is lightweight and designed to fit even in the smallest space provided. At home or in the office, this mini storage accessory is ideal to place on desktops, in shelves and cupboards, or anywhere else that is suitable.

I bought 3 more after my first purchase for it is very practical and functional and I placed them in my daughter's bedroom, my bathroom and my office. I use one of them to hold my little girl’s coloured pens, pencils and crayons. It does the job perfectly and it’s easy for a toddler to open and close. She loves it and she thinks it is easy to find the exact color she needs as she can see immediately which drawer the colors are in. 

More importantly, I taught my girl to keep her colored pencils, crayons and watercolors in categories. She cleverly organized her brushes in three individual drawers and now this time, there's more orderly storage of her lovely and favourite stuff. She was very happy with that organization, and I think it not only creates a wonderful storage system but also further gets my daughter into the habit of proper organization of small objects and develops her hand-on skills as well.

To my surprise, the little drawers are also suitable for storing small pieces of my girl's Lego toys and building blocks as well, which can be easily lost or misplaced. For Lego fans like my daughter, this is incredible and efficient as it saves her time to put away the toys scattered all over the tabletop!

Of course, bathroom storage is also indispensable! I used two organisers to make better use of the interior of a bathroom cabinet where there's full of my makeups and other small accessories. I like to stack them, which is a clever use of vertical space to hold more things without taking up other space and have room around to still fit other stuff in. I discover that when I stack them together, the bottom drawer of each storage box is best for some heavier makeups, such as cleansing gels, milky lotions, facial creams, etc, to further keep the storage system standing more stably and firmly. In this way, I can put other small items like hair accessories, combs, lip balm, etc in upper drawers safely and neatly.

As an architect, I have a lot of brushes and office supplies such as colored pencils, rulers, scissors, etc. But what bothered me the most was that my desk was so small that I could only placed these items at will, taking me a long time to find things, and sometimes I can't even find what I want, which greatly reduced my productivity. Therefore, my desk desperately needed a mini storage box.
