Reviews - Baffect Double Side Magnetic Window Cleaner for 8-15mm Glasses

Do you have these kinds of glasses in your house, green house, apartment or company? Do you feel that it is really a tough task to clean all the glasses around?

Recently, I had confronted with such kind of problem. My grandparents who were almost 80 years old lived in the countryside. They told me they wanted to clean their two-story house which wasn’t thoroughly cleaned almost a year. And the weather became warm and sunny, they planned to have a thorough cleaning. There were so many single pane glass doors, windows and dividers in the whole house and they didn’t want to hire the cleaning worker because of the high cost. So I decided to buy an efficient and practical tool and go to help my grandparents to clean their house. When I surfed on the internet, I found the a double side magnetic window cleaner. This is the product we are going to review today.

The Baffect Double Side Magnetic Window Cleaner really impressed me so much. OK, first off, let’s take a look at the details of the window cleaning tool.

-Details-

This product is called Baffect Double Side Magnetic Window Cleaner. Looking at the outer box of it, you can find the suggested thickness range of the glass that the double side magnetic window cleaner can be operated on, which is showed on the top side of the box. This magnetic window cleaner is suitable to use on the 8-15mm single pane glass. 

And then some brief instructions are offered on one flank.

And on the opposite flank, some tips are showed and a QR code is located in the left below corner. If you scan the QR code, there is a short video which would show you how to use the double side magnetic glass wiper.

And on one broadside, scrubbing methods and package list are introduced on this side.

Now, let’s open the box and take a look at what there are in it. One double side magnetic window cleaner, an instructions booklet, a PP bag with two slices of replaceable cleaning sponges and four plastic fasteners in it and two alternative rubber squeegees.

The size of the magnetic window wiper is 6.3*5.32*2.76in, which means the window cleaner could be very easy to be stored.

The glass wiper comes with light green color.

-Features-

After we get to know the details about the Baffect Double Side Magnetic Window Cleaner, let’s study it and dig out some features of it to make sure that our purchase decision is wise.

Firstly, this magnetic window cleaner is designed with double-sided strong magnetism, which makes it possible for you to stay inside your room to clean the outer side and inner side of the window at the same time. It could really save our time.

And the materials of the magnetic window cleaner is ultra-strong ABS and ferro-boron alnico, which means the glass cleaning wiper will be not easy to be broken and fall. Besides, the magnetic window cleaner weighs 600g, I pick it up and find it light and handy.

Secondly, there is a plastic separator between the two parts of the double side magnetic window cleaner. This plastic separator can stop your hands and fingers from being clamped by the magnetic window glass cleaner, and also can make it easy for you to open the magnetic cleaner. I am really thankful for the plastic separator because it stops my fingers from being clamped. 

Thirdly, the outer part of the double side magnetic window cleaner has a 2.5m strengthened anti-falling rope. This safety rope could prevent the outer part falling to damage and hitting other persons. I have to admit that it's very helpful during my usage. 

Fourthly, there are two water storage sponges in the two triangle parts of the double side magnetic window cleaner. The water storage sponges can keep the cleaning sponges moist for a long while thus there is no need for us to keep on immersing the cleaning sponges all the time. If the cleaning sponges need to be changed, you can rotate the plastic fasteners 90 degrees and take down to change them.

In addition, two rubber squeegees cooperate with the cleaning sponges, wipe and scratch at the same time, which makes the window cleaning efficent and clean. 

Last but not least, the triangle design of the magnetic window cleaner makes it much easier to clean some corners and the friction smaller. 

-How to choose and use-

After so many details and features we know, I firmly believe that you are also eager to know how to choose and use the right magnetic window cleaner like me.

OK, at first, we need to know the thickness of the glass to get the right magnetic window cleaner. If the technical tool is available, you can get the thickness directly. If not, you can use a simple ruler. The thickness of glass = thickness of whole window frame - thickness of outer window frame - thickness of inner window frame. My grandpa used this way to know most glass thicknesses in his house are around 10mm, so I choose the 8-15mm magnetic window cleaner.

And then let’s read the instructions first and then try the magnetic window cleaner accordingly.

Step 1, twist the two parts of the double side magnetic window cleaner 90 degrees in the opposite direction to open them and keep them far away, and then take down the plastic separator.

Step 2, you need a bucket of clean water to immerse the two parts of the double side magnetic window cleaner in water and then smear some detergent on them or just moisturize the two parts with liquid soap water.

Step 3, wear the safety rope on your wrist.

Final step, put the part with safety rope on the outer side of the window, and then put the other part on the inner side of the window keeping at least 8in away from the outer part. Then slide the inner part on the glass slowly to the opposite place of the outer part.

-The whole house glass wiping journey-

After I fully studied the Baffect Double Side Magnetic Window Cleaner and got to know how to use it, I brought it to my grandma’s house last weekend. And my whole house glass wiping journey got to start.

I began to wipe the glass from the second floor. There was a ceiling to floor sliding balcony window through which beautiful scenery could be seen. However I couldn’t enjoy the scenery because of the dust and water stains on it. 

So I got the double side magnetic window cleaner moisturized with liquid soap water and put them on the glass of one slider carefully according to the suggestions on the instructions and then closed the window. At the beginning, I found the magnetic household window cleaner very hard to operate. But after several times of practice, it worked so well that I thought myself a really good learner.

When I started to clean the second slider, I confronted some problems that some part of the sliders overlapped when they were opened and the 2.5m safety rope was not long enough to reach the farthest side of the second slier when they were closed. That was not a big deal, I found some rope to lengthen the safety rope.

My grandpa watched me cleaning the ceiling to floor sliding window so quickly and cleanly that he wanted to try the double side magnetic window cleaner on some other glasses.

For the first time, he chose to try it on another windows on the second floor. Here he decided to spray the detergent water on the glass first. When he wanted to put the two parts of the magnetic window cleaner together from the opposite side of the glass, I stopped him and showed him the right way. Or he might have already broken the glass. 

And then I told him that he could let the triangle shape of the window cleaner point down, and then wiped the glass in an arc-shaped path from the top to the bottom. However my grandpa moved the magnetic cleaner too fast, there were some scratches being left on the glass and the two parts of the magnetic cleaner fell off twice.

My grandpa believed in himself that he could do the glass cleaning well next time. So the second time he tried to clean the widows of his big cabinet. After he tried, this time he found it was very hard to move the double side magnetic window cleaner and the magnetic window cleaner trembled when moved it forcibly, and then he asked me for help. I ran over and asked the thickness of the glass. My grandpa had forgotten to measure these glasses and we found that the glass was thinner than 8mm. I explained that this double side magnetic window cleaner could be used on 8-15mm glass and the magnetism was too strong to use on the cabinet glass. 

The third time, my grandpa still wanted to try the double side magnetic slide window cleaner. And he said, “Practice makes perfect’’. Yes, I totally agreed with that. He kept on trying the glider cleaner on other windows and I cleaned some other places with a cleaning towel and a squeegee meanwhile. However, this time I found my grandpa still met some problems. Like he might get the magnetic cleaner bumped against the window frame, the magnetism connection of the two parts of the magnetic window cleaner was broken and they fell off. I told my grandpa that he should slow down and should not hit the frame with window cleaner hard.

When we three cleaned all the glasses and other wipe tasks, the night was coming. So we decided to collect the tools and went on the remaining cleaning on the second day. 

However, an accident occurred. The two parts of the double side magnetic window cleaner got together without putting the plastic separator in. That was because my foot hit one part of them when they were lied on the floor. 

Thank goodness, no one’s hands or fingers were clamped. We tried many ways to open the double side magnetic window cleaner. We tried to open the magnetic window cleaner with two hands and failed. Also we tried to use something hard and thin to pry the magnetic window cleaner open. Also failed, and we got exhausted. Finally, I got the way how to open the magnetic window cleaner on the internet. My grandpa used one hand to fix the part with safety rope of the window cleaner to a solid countertop, and kept the other part suspended. And then twisted the suspended part 45 degrees forcibly to divide them. Yes, we got the two parts separated with a hard work.

Looking at the clean glasses and the beatiful scenery outside, we felt so good and thought that buying the magnetic window cleaner was such a great idea.

-Friendly use suggestion-

After we tried the Baffect Double Side Magnetic Window Cleaner so many times, I did have some suggestions for you guys who wanted to try this magnetic window cleaner.

No 1, please measure the thickness of the glass first thus you can choose and use the magnetic window cleaner correctly. 

No 2, don’t let the two parts of the magnetic window cleaner get together on the glass from directly the opposite side, otherwise the window cleaner may break the glass or damage itself. 

No 3, don’t move the magnetic window cleaner too fast in case the outer part can’t catch up with the inner part or the magnetic window cleaner hit the window frame and the magnetism connection broken, which both can cause the two parts’ fall.

No 4, move the magnetic window cleaner as the path showed on the box, thus there won’t be any scratches and water stains left on the glasses.

Last but not least, please do remember to put the plastic separator in before you fold the two parts of the magnetic window cleaner.

All in all, the Baffect Double Side Magnetic Window Cleaner is very efficient and practical, it can be used on different kinds of single glazed windows, doors and dividers whose thickness is 8-15mm. We just read the instructions carefully and try the magnetic window cleaner several times as the instructions or video showed. And finally we find this magnetic window cleaner really useful and convenient after our usage. It is worthy of our try.
