The other day, I was looking in my husband’s closet and was puzzled by the odd mix of different kinds of suit hangers. Velvet hangers seemed to break often and collect lint. Wood hangers took up lots of closet space and left shoulder bumps. There had to be a better way! I tried to find the perfect suit hangers out of curiosity and then I found exactly what I was looking for. Second of all, I’m impressed by their quality welding with a seamless, ultra-smooth surface. As you can see, there are not any breaks at the place they are welded at all.

— How they worked —

So I went ahead and ordered a set to see how they looked and to get a feel for how many I would need. My order arrived yesterday and I was super excited.  

As soon as I took them out of the package, these classy hangers were dazzling.

You may need to wrap the hook with electrical tape to keep the metal hangers from scuffing up your wood closet pole. However, this is not the case with these hangers. They felt very smooth and I also had zero worries about snagging my husband’s suit while using them.

I took one and tried quite hard to bend it, but it didn’t bend at all. These are the strongest hangers I have ever seen. 

They really sounded nice clanging together when I did not have any clothing on them. I do love the sound that they make when they do happen to hit each other. It’s very satisfying.

These suit hangers have the bottom portion as a pant bar. When I went to store one of my husband’s suits, I started with the pants and matched the seams from the leg openings. After that, I checked that both legs were in the same direction and not twisted.Then I folded them in half and put them on the hanger. As you can see, the pants neither had any wrinkles nor slid off while hanging from there. 

Finally, I put his jacket on the hanger and made sure it was aligned properly. 

The hanger was wide enough to support the full shoulder width of his jacket and thick enough to distribute the weight of his jacket properly. 

And thanks to its moderate rounded corners, the edge of the hanger hit the edge of the shoulder of the garment, so that his shoulder pads over time are supported, which is really awesome because you don’t have to worry about any added little bumpers. 

Overall, I’m very pleased. My husband’s suit hung perfectly on them. Plus, these new hangers added elegance to his closet. So I’m going to be replacing most of his hangers with these hangers. I might be buying more soon!

— One final tip —

If you’re storing your suit for more than a week or two, don’t forget to put a garment bag on top to protect it. A suit is an investment and you want it to look and feel good for a long time. A well-made suit is a garment that requires a little bit of extra special care. A garment bag can protect it from moths, sun exposure, damage, and dust. And I recommend hanging and covering your suits with a fabric or breathable garment bag to eliminate the possibility of dust settling on the garment.
